Arumchan Korea Taekwondo Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for all members, especially children and vulnerable adults.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Our Commitment
We will:
Put the welfare of children and vulnerable adults first
Provide a safe and positive training environment
Treat all members with respect and dignity
Act quickly and appropriately if concerns are raised
Follow British Taekwondo safeguarding guidance

Any safeguarding concerns should be reported to this person in the first instance.
If a concern involves the Safeguarding Lead, it should be reported directly to British Taekwondo or the appropriate authorities.
Safe Recruitment
We will:
Ensure relevant coaches and volunteers hold enhanced DBS checks
Require safeguarding training where appropriate
Good Practice
All coaches and volunteers will:
Lead by example
Maintain professional boundaries
Avoid being alone with a child where possible
Gain parental consent for photography or video
Report any concerns immediately
Reporting a Concern
If you are worried about a child or vulnerable adult:
Report it to the Club Safeguarding Lead immediately.
If the person is in immediate danger, contact the police on 999.
Concerns may also be reported to British Taekwondo.
All concerns will be taken seriously and handled confidentially.
Photography and Social Media
We will:
Obtain written consent from parents/guardians for children
Avoid sharing personal information alongside images
Use images responsibly and appropriately
Equality and Respect
We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, discrimination or abuse of any kind.
All members have the right to train in a safe and supportive environment.

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if required.
